If These Cars Could Talk… 1929 Auburn Cabin Speedster

Join us from 2- 3 PM to learn more about the tragic history of the original 1929 Speedster and the effort to create this faithful replica. E.L Cord put Alan Leamy in charge of the design, which was intended to mimic the look of an airplane. Due to some issues of interior space and handling the Auburn Cabin Speedster would be limited to a one-off show car.  In the 1960's, using original drawings from the Auburn Automobile Company, this replica was built by Dr. Peter Kesling, and is a faitful representation of what the original model would have looked like.

This presentation will be held next to the car from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 5th, and is offered to all patrons for free with museum admission.
