Cruise-In: America’s Automotive Trust - The Drive Home to The Mustang Stampede

Cruise-In: America’s Automotive Trust - The Drive Home to The Mustang Stampede. America’s Automotive Trust is proud to announce the annual The Drive Home back in full force for 2022, but this time we are teaming up with Ford Motor Company for the cross-country trip from Tacoma, WA to The Stampede, Ford’s global debut of the all-new, seventh-generation Ford Mustang, at the Detroit Auto Show on Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. EDT.

This year, the route kicks off with a Cruise-In at ACM on Sept. 6, from LeMay – America’s Car Museum in Tacoma, WA, and cars will take off around 6 pm for the journey to Detroit. From there they’ll have multiple stops across the country including the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum on Sept. 13, from 5 pm – 8 pm, for a Cruise-In. The tour includes members of the public who want to join in on the drive and America’s Automotive Trust with roughly 18 participants with all six generations of Ford Mustangs and the 7th generation prototype and 2 Ford GTs. Bring your ride, tell your car or motorcycle club, and join the Cruise-In fun for the whole family.

The Drive Home has historically been an annual cross-country road trip featuring vintage cars with points of interest along the way to the Detroit Auto Show since 2015. Each tour is designed to showcase the importance of automotive heritage in the United States, and its relationship to the car culture of today.

This particular year 2022, The Drive Home is quite special in that it will be an all-Mustang run, representing six generations of Mustangs in Ford Motor Company history, culminating in Detroit Sept. 14 with a parade from Ford World Headquarters to The Stampede.
