(AUBURN) – Friday, at 5:00 p.m. the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum announced the winners for the New Car Raffle. The Museum began selling raffle tickets in July with a goal to sell 999 tickets at the price of $50 each. Partnering with Auburn Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Ben Davis Chevrolet, and Ben Davis Ford, all of Auburn, Indiana, the Museum offered a choice of a 2018 Jeep Renegade 4x4, 2017 Chevrolet Camaro, or a 2017 Ford Mustang to the first place winner.
The Museum sold tickets around the Greater Fort Wayne area and at its own events, including Cars & Coffee, where attendees enjoyed fellowship while free coffee and donuts were served, and Trivia Night, where teams tackled various trivia questions. The museum also attended several car shows including the Dekalb Chamber Partnership Cruise Ins, the SweetCars Lunch, and Auctions America Cartoberfest. Unique opportunities to sell raffle tickets included Auctions America’s Labor Day Tradition and Fall Auction, which provided large audiences.
Congratulations to Richie Clyne, the winner of the New Car Raffle, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada. Second prize of $2,000 went to Mike Eaton from Creston, Iowa; third prize of $1,000 went to Robyn Handy from Semora, North Carolina. The Museum is grateful for the New Car Raffle participants for their support of the Museum. Since 999 certificates were not sold by October 20, the drawing date, the Museum modified the raffle and withdrew the first prize, awarded prizes 2 and 3, and split the remaining net proceeds (income less expenses) equally between the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum and the first prize winner.
There will be plenty more opportunities for others coming soon; make sure you follow the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for frequent updates, and if you missed the event, videos are available. The Indiana gaming license used for this raffle is #143629.
