This presentation will focus on the special exhibition Streamlining – A Study in Style. The event will be held adjacent to the Streamlining Exhibit on the main floor of the Museum. The presentation will showcase the streamlined automobile trend of the 1930s that featured advanced aerodynamic body designs.
Included in the study are the wind-tunnel-tested 1937 Chrysler Airflow, the teardrop-shape-inspired 1937 Lincoln Zephyr, and the sleek profile of the 1936 Cord 810 Sedan. Also studied are headlamp design details and the progression of streamlining in pre-war transportation.
